Interpretation standard · Updated September 30, 2026Explanation never changes rank
Beyond a single league table

Read the reason behind the rank.

A rank says who is ahead inside one model. Rank intelligence adds the missing context: where the strength comes from, how dependable the evidence is, and whether domestic and international signals agree.

Four reading lenses

A more useful ranking, without a hidden formula.

Each lens is descriptive. The published score remains the direct result of the disclosed ranking model.

01 · Korea vs world

Find the market gap

A brand can be a domestic favorite, a stronger export performer, or both. We publish the comparison only when the Korean and overseas evidence covers the same category, period and measurement type. A Korean retailer rank is never relabeled as worldwide sales.

02 · Why it moved

Name the visible change

Movement needs two comparable snapshots. The explanation identifies the changing pillar—online attention, overseas market reach or export evidence. We do not turn correlation into a claim about campaigns, revenue or consumer intent.

03 · Confidence

Separate certainty from score

High means broad, recent and corroborated coverage. Moderate means a supported direction with thinner evidence in one area. Early Signal means the evidence is new, narrow or dependent on one source type. Confidence never boosts or reduces points.

04 · Market role

See what kind of leader it is

A role label summarizes the strongest observed pattern. Global Staple signals broad overseas availability; Export Leader signals comparatively strong trade support; Viral Momentum signals unusually strong recent attention; Local Favorite requires matched Korean evidence.

ReversibleThe label can change when the evidence changes; it is not a permanent badge.
Worked reading example

How to interpret one row

This is a reading pattern, not a new score and not a claim about a specific brand.

Rank

#3 means third within the named tracked set, window and formula—not third in all global beauty sales.

Driver

“Market-led” means overseas retail and distribution evidence is the strongest visible pillar in that row.

Confidence

“Moderate” means the direction is supported, but at least one evidence dimension has thinner coverage or corroboration.

Market gap

“N/A” is the correct result when comparable Korean evidence is unavailable. We do not manufacture a domestic rank to complete the story.

Claim boundary

Useful context, not false precision.

Rank intelligence does not claim audited worldwide sales, medical effectiveness or universal product suitability. It does not replace the underlying sources, calculation or caveats.
